How to Fit the CableLock Transfer Case Cable Clamp on the INEOS Grenadier & Quartermaster
The transfer case cables on the Grenadier and Quartermaster can work loose from their factory bracket, which is a known issue and an expensive one if it happens on the trail. The CableLock Transfer Case Cable Clamp fits over the factory bracket and holds the cables in their grommets. You don't need to remove the factory bracket or reroute anything, and it uses one existing bolt.
CableLock is made from powder-coated steel and was developed with members of theINEOSforum.
What's in the kit
- 1x CableLock clamp (powder-coated steel)
No extra hardware is needed. The clamp is held by the middle bolt of the factory bracket.
Tools you'll need
- Hex (Allen) bit and ratchet to suit the factory bracket bolt
- Torque wrench (recommended)
Fitting the clamp
- Remove the middle bolt from the factory transfer case cable bracket.
- Slide CableLock into place from the side until its mounting hole lines up with the factory bracket. The curved tabs should sit securely in the grooves of the rubber grommets.
- Refit the middle bolt through both CableLock and the factory bracket, and tighten.
Torque: tighten the bolt to 60 in-lb (about 7 Nm). Check the cables are held firmly in their grommets before you finish.
