How to Fit the Console Device Mount Bracket on the INEOS Grenadier & Quartermaster
The Grenadier and Quartermaster center console has no good place for a phone or GPS mount. Our Console Device Mount Bracket bolts to the console using its existing screw holes and gives you six positions and orientations for a RAM or 67Designs ball mount. No drilling, and it takes a few minutes.
The brackets are designed and made in the USA from PETG engineered plastic with a carbon-fiber additive, with a textured finish to match the instrument binnacle.
What's in the kit
- 2x console mount brackets
- Stainless steel screws to fix the brackets to the console
- 4x cap screws and nylon nuts for a 2-hole AMPS base
Works with
- 2-hole AMPS pattern (2x M6 on 1.9in / 48.5mm spacing) for a 1in RAM ball
- 3-hole round pattern (3x M4 on a 20mm circle) for a 67Designs 20mm ball
Tools you'll need
- 3mm hex key
- Whatever your device base maker specifies for fitting the base
Fitting the bracket
- Fit your device base to the bracket first, using the hardware your mount maker specifies.
- Remove the four screws from the console position you've chosen, using a 3mm hex key. The screws are different lengths, so keep them in order.
- Position the bracket so its bosses sit in the existing counterbored holes.
- Fit the screws through the bracket and into the console holes. The three shorter screws go in the outer (perimeter) positions. Tighten gently.
- Repeat for the second bracket if you're using both.
Don't overtighten. The screws go into plastic. Recommended torque is 4 in-lb (about 0.4 Nm), which is little more than finger tight.
