How to Fit Map Light Glare Shields on the INEOS Grenadier & Quartermaster
The front map lights in the Grenadier and Quartermaster scatter light across the cab, and at night that glare lands on the windscreen and in your eyes. Our Map Light Glare Shields fit around the existing lights using the factory screws. The job takes about five minutes and needs one tool.
The shields are designed and made in the USA from PETG engineered plastic with a carbon-fiber additive, and were developed with members of theINEOSforum.
What's in the box
- 2x map light glare shields (a pair, one for each front map light)
No extra hardware is needed. The shields are held by the screws already in your overhead console.
Tools you'll need
- 3mm hex key
Fitting the shields
- Remove the two screws at the front right corner of the overhead console, using a 3mm hex key.
- Position the glare shield so its mounting holes line up with the existing holes.
- Refit both screws through the shield and into the existing holes. Tighten gently, with two fingers on the key.
- Repeat on the left side of the vehicle.
Don't overtighten. The screws go into plastic. Recommended torque is 2 in-lb (about 0.2 Nm), which is barely more than finger tight.
